Taiwan's major parties are condemning Chen's latest move. The Taiwan
Opposition Parties Alliance, composed of the Kuomingtang, the People First Party
and Non-P
artisan Solidarity Union have decided to make a joint bill in an effort
to dismiss Chen from office.
Shortly after a Kuomingtang meeting on Monday night, Kuomingtang leader Ma
Ying Joeu announced the decision to dismiss Chen from office.
Ma Ying-Joeu, Chairman, Kuomingtang Party, said, "The chance of passing the
bill will be slim. But we'll still make it, for we are very angry."
The Kuomingtang announced then, they'd call upon other non-office-holding
parties and groups to make the bill a truly joint gesture.
The People First Party also condemned Chen's separatist move on Monday night,
saying it endangered prosperity and safety of the island, and ran against
people's will.
Taiwan business circles have expressed their disapproval of Chen. They're
calling for a government that puts people's well being first and foremost.
